ReplyDeleteHallo too sist lia. Phonetics is part of Phonology. So basicly, Phonology is bigger than Phonetics. Phonetics focuses on practical sounds and learning it by doing it. That's how I understand the Phonetics and Phonology sis.

DeleteHi sis, I feel it would be better if the video directly contains sound instead of the video you are running then stop to explain material about phonetics. Actually I also use Powtoon, in the application it can directly insert sound in the video. But it can only record sound with a maximum time of 20 seconds, because it uses a free system. Maybe using a paid system would be better. Even though I can only use the free system, haha 😂😂

DeletePhonetics Linguistics is the sound wave of each word that consists of vowels and consonants. Simple example of Phonetics are:
"which" and "witch" differently, but if you pronounce both words identically, just use w for both words. The sounds /ʌ/ and /ə/
(this one is the example of articulary phonetics).

DeleteWhen we learn about phonetics, it means we learn the basic of the sounds. If we understand the concept and apply it in daily use like conversation, we can learn easier with thr other topics.
When we learn phonetics, at first we focus on each sound of each letter (including beginning, middle and ending sound), then how we can blend the the words by saying it (obviously you need to learn about phonetics to understand more about it). Actually, many that I can explain to you here, but it will be very long explanation..maybe another session for that.🤗

DeleteI will answer based on my perspective sist dewi. Phonemics analyze the sounds through saying it and the ability to hear and manipulate sounds in words but in Phonetics, we learn pure about all the sounds by speaking and writing without any attention to manipulate it.

Hi wan rizka. Acoustics Phonetics can be learnt around 8 or 9 years old. Depend on the situation of each child. Around their ages they will more understand about the practicing of the sounds.

If it is yes, then, it is because many theories and rules that you need to study in Phonetics and Linguistics. For drama and poetry, you just need to practice it and you ar able to do it.

DeleteA. The way letter 'r' is pronounced
British when 'r' comes after vowel in the syllable (car, hard) the 'r' is not pronounced while in American English 'r' is pronounced.
B. Spelling
British verbs ending -ise while American using -ize
E.g: realise/realize
